Pine Needle Tea
Pine Needle Tea is full of Vitamin C
1 cup of pine needle tea contains 5 times the amount of Vitamin C found in a lemon! Vitamin C is an antioxidant and an immune system booster and also contributes to the health of the cardiovascular system, skin and eyes. This tea was used in war times to prevent scurvy.
Use 2 tsp fresh or green or 1 tsp dried pine needles per cup. Bruise them before pouring boiling water on them, stir and allow to infuse for 5-10 minutes; strain and serve. Add a squeeze of lemon juice and some honey or a little sugar if desired.
Caution - This tea is not to be taken if pregnant or breastfeeding.
